UW-Madison Town Hall on Academics & Advising for Fall 2020 Watch recording During the week of July 20, student will be able to view the details of their fall schedule including modality (in-person or online), day, time, and location of their classes. In this Town Hall held for continuing students and their families, we’re joined by members of the UW-Madison advising community as they answer questions on what to expect and when you should seek the help of your advisor.

Panel Discussion: SD/UD Grading Options & Undergraduate Advising Conversations Watch the recording Password: eR34Zh2W Please join us for an opportunity to think through the SD/UD grading policy together, learn about perspectives in a variety of advising areas, and prepare to have nuanced, individualized advising conversations with students about the SD/UD options. Each student’s decision will be highly dependent on their current personal context and future goals. Having some time to consider options and reflect on the pros and cons of selecting SD/UD will be essential for both advisors and students. Panelists:

About Dr. Amy Climer Dr. Amy Climer has decades of experience facilitating teams and designing learning programs. She has designed online courses, delivered countless webinars, and keynoted virtual conferences. Early in her career she spent five years at UW as an advisor. Amy is also the host of The Deliberate Creative™ Podcast and the designer of Climer Cards, a creativity and teambuilding tool used by thousands to deepen conversations and generate ideas. Amy holds a Ph.D. in Leadership and Change from Antioch University and a Master’s degree in Outdoor Education from the University of New Hampshire. Through her direct work with organizational leaders, staff, students, teachers, and communities, Liza empowers individuals to create a more inclusive organization, environment, community and team. Dr. Talusan has been invited to more than 175 organizations across the country to deliver keynote addresses and facilitate dialogue groups, training workshops, to develop strategic planning, support change management, and empower faculty and staff. Certified as a Professional Coach by the Institute for Professional Education in Coaching (iPEC), Liza helps individuals and organizations achieve their goals by centering values, strengths, and vision. Dr. Talusan earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Child Development from Connecticut College; Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from New York University; Ph.D. in Higher Education from University of Massachusetts Boston; Certificate in Human Resources, Stonehill College; and PCC Coaching Credentials.
