Presenter: Sara Stephenson, Cross-College Advising Service
Session Type: Presentation
UW-Madison offers 200+ undergraduate majors and certificates and thousands of course options that lead to a nearly infinite number of career paths. When these options paralyze students, rather than inspire them, how can advisors help them confidently make and stick with a decision? Drawing from Angela Duckworth’s work on “Grit” and related studies, participants will get an overview of how to help students develop and pursue long-term goals.
