Helping Skills and Practice

Helping Skills and Practice is a workshop series intended for newer advising, career services, and learning support staff members who would like to reflect on core skills and a variety of theories that impact and guide our work with students.
The theme of the April 12th Helping Skills and Practice session is The Art of Referrals.
Part of our practice as helping professionals is assisting students to connect with the resources available to them across campus. During this session, we will discuss strategies for making our referrals as useful and relevant as possible.
